Bomb Attack On Base Station (Sabotage)

Many people reacted because the base station damaged the frequency. But this response seems a little too extreme. Turkey's 2017 base station as a terrorist act was made in a bomb attack in the eastern region. This attack resulted in material damage.

The operator name was not shared because it was not correct. The base station was activated by the teams the next day.

It is a testament to the hard work of the employees in the GSM sector and the conditions under which they work.

Radio Link On Base Stations

Base stations are widely used by radio links. A connection is established between the two stations. And through this connection data flow is provided.

There are many radio link brands. The most common radio brands are NEC, Nokia, Ericsson and Huawei. As an example, we will share the Chinese brand Huawei assembly photos.

Radio links in the tower

It's the tower of the base station you see in the photo. There are many radio links on this tower. They are round and white in color.

The frequency cable is installed between the tower radio and the internal unit in the system room. This work is required to ensure the frequency and data flow between the indoor unit and the external unit.

Radio indoor unit in the system room

The photo features Huawei RTN950 internal unit. There must be a connection between the tower radio and RTN950 in the system room. The radio is commanded by entering the frequency to the internal unit in the system room.

Thanks to this setup, we can exchange the data with other base station and make the network work. Of course you should have a lot of detail information for this installation. However, it is enough to give superficial information for now.

We can answer your questions about radio installation and Huawei with pleasure.
thanks.

The Base Station Operating Principles And Shape

I'm going to try to give you some information about the working principle of the base station. It can be complicated for people who are not related to the sector. But I will try to explain this in the simplest way.

The base station should be seen as an interconnected network. You can think of it as a linked chain. The operator's network is active in the area where the chain is located. But if the chain link in the middle breaks, the base stations connected to it may be lost in the network as it will cut off communication.

There are many ways to establish the connection between base stations. The most common of these is the use of radio and fiber optics. In terms of capacity and maintenance, fiber optics are more efficient but more costly. The radio is a micro link between the two stations to provide the data flow.

Base station operation

As you can see from the figure, I tried to explain the working principle. The drawings aren't very good I'm sorry for that.

Base stations must be interconnected. Operator HUB, the headquartersCity HUB, is the collection point of the operator in that city. HUB-1 and HUB-2 are base stations in the neighborhood. The yellow boxes and the letters we identified represent one base station.

Base stations are combined and collected at the base station in the district or neighborhood. Let's call it HUB-1. Base stations from HUB-1 are connected to the HUB point in the city. The HUB point in the city is connected to the operator's center. In this way, all base stations are synchronized with their central devices.

Let's take a look at the area of the HUB-2 image. If the A base station and the HUB-2 connection are broken, the rear B-C-D-F base stations will be disconnected and will not draw in the network.

I hope it has been useful, I will try to answer your questions under this title.
Thanks.
